Advanced Principles In Communication (APC)
In a world undergoing rapid change, we want to equip Christians to represent God well on current issues. What is a biblical response to aid and poverty, to genetic engineering, to the definition of what is marriage? APC will help train you in critical thinking skills through a grid of biblical values. We aim to teach you how to think, not what to think, but to have opinions based on the breadth of scripture that can give hope to people grappling with Christian faith in the 21st century.
If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look forcomfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair. C. S. Lewis

Martin Luther is quoted as saying, “If the gospel is not relevant to the issues of the day, it is not the gospel at all.” Are you frustrated in knowing how to identify the issues in the society you work in? Do you know how to apply biblical principles in a modern society? What happened to the gospel of Luther and Calvin’s era that turned nations and regions upside down and completely reformed societies? Can this generation recapture it?
Our aim is to be able to represent God in every area of life. The APC will teach you the biblical foundation for each area of society: government, education, family, arts and entertainment, science and technology, church and economics. Using issues reported in international media we will help better prepare you for what He has called you to do, to be biblically relevant to the 21st century.
The APC works with two tools, the Word of God and a thinking model called the 360 degree Model. The 360 Model is a critical thinking tool that teaches you to unpack your own opinions, be able to make an unbiased study of an issue and know how to apply biblical principles to it. The Old Testament Template is the name given to the material developed by Landa Cope, which explains basic biblical principles in the 8 domains of society mentioned previously.
The school starts with four weeks of lectures where we teach the Old Testament Template and the 360 Model. This is followed by eight weeks of interactive classes where discussion, research, debate, case studies, field-trips, role-play and other fun learning activities are used to practice your new thinking model. The learning continues through required reading, one-on-one tutorials and written assignments outside of class time.
